Blood Suckers Gather!
Billed as a â??Vampire Ballâ??, tickets for this major bash sold out within days of going on sale, with security turning people away on the night, some with forgeries trying to blag their way in.
Everyone, bands included, turned out in their best goth-inspired finery with fangs, fake blood and fear-inducing expressions much in evidence.
ripped through a 40 minute set of self-penned agitated power-pop gems.All the hot EP tunes were strongly featured, with the guys also giving a hint of new material to come and referencing the rich array of songs such as â??Your Lossâ?? still to be put down on record.The Fires performance left the audience roaring for more and the seaside town quaking in its wake.
Earlier, guests arrived to classic horror movie music from DJ One Man Idiot Conspiracy, who also provided between-set mash ups and favourite tunes.
Bristolâ??s Stone from Delphi kicked off band proceedings, with their distinctive dark epic rock sounds, followed by Cornwallâ??s Men of Splendor, with a jazz-tinged â??canâ??t help but get off youâ??re ass and danceâ?? style set.

â??Dark cabaretâ?? magic man/illusionist Gary B then intrigued the blood sucking gathering with his bizarre act, including slicing through his arm with a carving knife and contorting his body to fit through a tennis racket.
Closure to a memorable night came with The Fires magnificent finale.
